Family holidays in the Cochem holiday Region

Holidaying by the Moselle, being with the family, spending time together, having fun, being active, experiencing things – families can do all of this in the Cochem holiday region. A wide selection of holiday homes offer ideal conditions for a holiday with the family. Whether with several bedrooms, a children’s bed or cot, a recreational room, a kitchen and often with a selection of games or toys, either ideally situated amid the vineyards or conveniently located in the village centre yet at the same time away from the main roads, there is a wide choice of family-friendly accommodation.

The Cochem holiday region also has a lot to offer in the way of family leisure activities. How about a child-friendly guided tour ("ghost tour", with or without a "robber’s meal") of Cochem’s very own castle, the Reichsburg, where parents can also have fun? Or how about a trip on the chair lift up to the Pinnerkreuz, the fantastic viewpoint above the little town of Cochem? From there it is not far to walk to the Klotten Game and Leisure park (which is also easy to reach by car), where in addition to fun attractions and rides, a large enclosure with wild game animals awaits you.

An interesting way to explore the town and ensure that children can also have fun is a trip on the Moselle Wine Express, the small green and yellow miniature train.

When holidaying by the Moselle, a boat trip is simply a must. It is quite an adventure when you pass through a large lock on the trip from Cochem to Beilstein – it’s not only the little ones who will look on in amazement!

And just in case the weather gods are not smiling favourably for once, then why not spend your day with the children at the Moselle pool’s children’s world in the leisure centre in Cochem-Cond. Slides, channels, waterfalls, a children’s pool and an indoor wave pool – time for parents to join in the fun and splash about too! If it’s sunny and the weather is fine, you can, of course, also make use of the outdoor pool.
